Two hundred years ago, the sun mysteriously turned black, triggering a global catastrophe.
Ten years of darkness and mutations followed, planting the “seeds” of strange transformation inside living things.
When the darkness lifted, people were met not with the light of dawn, but with crimson sunlight. Animals mutated and turned violent, plants grew wildly and unnaturally, and some humans began to mutate while a small number awakened supernatural powers as Sequence users.
Some saw this as the end of humanity and a cause for despair. Fanatics, however, hailed it as a glorious evolution.
When the crimson reached its peak, strange fog spread across the world. Powerful beings found only in mythology descended from the fog, bringing humanity to the brink of annihilation.
The fallen bones of gods became forbidden lands. In this despairing apocalypse, even those with power akin to that of the gods could not escape the fate of going mad under the crimson sun.
When the strange fog receded, the moon vanished along with it, and the world was plunged into eternal daylight.
People who claimed to be gods descended from the heavens and led the surviving humans underground to eke out an existence.
But what future awaits humanity in this sunless underground world?
