The River Won't Ferry You, but Jiang He Will

[The Story of Meng Po and the Matchmaker + One-on-One Romance + Love That Grows Over Time + Episodic Short Stories]

Jiang Jiang is Meng Po of the Underworld. Lively by nature, she loves wearing pretty clothes in bright colors. Every day, she changes into a different outfit with different hair ornaments.

Ji He is the Matchmaker. He loves wearing red, loves Jiang Jiang most of all, and enjoys all kinds of delicious food.

For countless millennia, the two have bickered and bantered, a pair of natural rivals who can't stay apart. Jiang Jiang loves gossip, so Ji He goes to the mortal realm to collect amusing stories to tell her. Ji He loves good food, so Jiang Jiang asks the “people” who come to drink her soup where to find the tastiest, most authentic dishes. Caught up in their own lives, neither can see the affection between them. Love springs from nowhere, yet grows deeper with every passing day.

“Ji He!”

“Jiang Jiang, I know I was wrong. Don't be mad~”
