I died. It was an accident.

Maybe no one would believe me if I told them.

I died from sheer bad luck!

Just how unlucky was I? I choked on my lunch, then tripped on flat ground when I went out. Just after leaving my apartment complex, I was hit by something thrown from above. On the way to the hospital to get bandaged up, a tree in the landscaping fell on me and killed me…

I floated nearby, watching a crowd gather and try to save me, but to no avail. The tree trunk, as thick as a person’s waist, had pinned me down, leaving me unable to move.

I looked around, even examining my own soul. Huh, it was no different from when I was alive. The only difference was that I was now floating in midair, exactly like a ghost in a TV show.

Suddenly, I froze, because someone was standing not far away: my boyfriend, Zhang Sheng.

Wasn’t he supposed to be at work? What was he doing here?

I hurried over, ready to burst into tears and make a scene, when I heard him muttering something under his breath.

Before I could react, a [Ding!] rang out in his mind.
