Galactic Paradise: The Special Contractor

Deep in the rift, gale-force winds slice like knives, sending foul, blood-soaked rubble swirling through the air. Zhan Xingchen's broken body crashes onto the scorched rock. His unfocused eyes reflect Wu Yun's bloodied face. “Run... Hurry... Run! You... something inside you... devours the heavens...” Before he can finish, a chilling demonic aura coils around Wu Yun's shattered chest

Zhao Rui's fingertips turn into black crystal blades, plunging into his beating heart:

“If light is a lie... then let the power that devours hearts burn away this hypocrisy!”

“Ah! A Qi, I'll get you out of here!” Wu Yun climbs toward the cliff top beneath a sky full of lightning. The heart-devouring demonic flames burn through his flesh, leaving winding trails of blood on the scorched rock.

The divine flame crest on Xia Qi's forehead cracks bit by bit. She stumbles backward at the darkness surging around him. “Light... why can't it save the light?”

The golden rune of annihilation tears through the clouds. Xia Xue's scream pierces their ears

Amid the fiendish laughter of the heavenly soldiers and the wails of her people, Xia Qi leaps!

Blazing white divine flames unfurl into thousand-foot wings of light, and she hurtles like a falling star toward the golden lightning!

Amid the deafening explosion of the barrier shattering, her meridians completely broken, she still cries out toward the rift:

“Qingyun, live on! Even if you become a demon!”

The thunderstorm swallows her voice, but Wu Yun sees her bloodied lips form the words.

Demonic flames erupt from Wu Yun's eyes like blood, and the Heaven-Swallowing Demon Wolf bursts through his spine:

“A Qi... since you want me to live... then I'll use this greedy wolf to devour virtue and tear apart the heavens!”

As demonic flames engulf the light of heaven, Xia Qi falls toward the scorched earth.

The last thing reflected in her unfocused eyes is a single teardrop of blood, falling into the dust just before that person disappears,

scorching a crimson star-shaped mark into the cracked earth

more dazzling than the golden rune of god-slaying, hotter than the abyss of eternal night.
