From the Start, I Cashed In on the Breakup, Then Found a New Boyfriend

[Two male leads + younger, stingy, fake-poor top + love-struck bottom who suddenly comes to his senses, but not completely + getting back together after a breakup + testing the waters before falling in love, one-on-one, both virgins] It wasn’t until the breakup money was slapped in his face that Zhou Qingmian learned his broke boyfriend was the young master of the Zhong family. It was a huge shock. This was so messed up! That loser Zhong Yuezhi always made him split the rent, and even took advantage of him. Even worse, Zhong Yuezhi emotionally manipulated him into working himself to the bone to earn money for gifts, leaving him exhausted as a dog. And now he was supposed to believe Zhong Yuezhi was a rich young master? Ha. He’d been played! That was Zhou Qingmian’s first thought when he finally put two and two together. Otherwise, there was no way to explain why Zhong Yuezhi would ever be interested in him. So he took the breakup money and disappeared. Blocked, deleted, unfollowed: the whole package. He’d worked himself to death for Zhong Yuezhi for two years. Was it really so wrong to enjoy some of the Zhong family’s money? But why was that manipulator haunting him like a ghost? “Mianmian, my family went bankrupt. Take me in. I can do your laundry.” As if! You always made me do your laundry before, and I had to hand-wash it! “That won’t work. I have a new boyfriend.” Zhou Qingmian swore he would never hand-wash Zhong Yuezhi’s clothes again! “So you spent all your money on some other guy? No. I won’t allow it.” Sometimes Zhou Qingmian really did find it hilarious. He’d made elaborate plans to give Zhong Yuezhi a wonderful future, only to realize that Zhong Yuezhi had never been part of those plans. Just as Zhou Qingmian finally gave up, Zhong Yuezhi began opening his heart to him. His boyfriend had finally grown up.
