It’s Too Late for Regret. He Only Wants to Stay Away

Angst and Groveling Redemption

I read an angsty novel once, but I can't find it. Please help! The male and female leads were separated by his mother in high school. Later, he found her through a TV program, but she wouldn't take him back. His surname was Cheng, and hers was Qi. The female lead died from severe depression, while the male lead went on to have a large family of his own.
