The Heir's Stratagem

Strong female lead + court intrigue and palace battles [A woman transmigrated from the 22nd century] versus [a local commandery princess]. “Miss, it’s raining.” “Don’t close the window yet. I’ll need it when I swear to the heavens in a moment.” Qin Yingning accidentally transmigrates to ancient times. With her exceptional cooking skills and astonishing business acumen, she leads the entire Qin family to prosperity, turning them into the envy of all as the emperor’s merchants. She also gets caught up in the princes’ struggle over who will inherit the throne. Bai Tan’s mother is the Duke of Anguo, whose family helped the emperor ascend the throne, and comes from the Meng clan of Langya, the foremost aristocratic family. Before Bai Tan was even born, the emperor had already bestowed the title of commandery princess upon her. He also granted her an estate closest to the capital, with privileges that far surpassed those of the princes and princesses. Most importantly, the Imperial Preceptor personally read her fate and declared, “A daughter of the Bai family is destined to be empress.” By a twist of fate, Qin Yingning takes Bai Tan’s marriage opportunity. One becomes a prince’s consort, while the other becomes the daughter-in-law of the Marquis of Zhenyuan, who has been accused of conspiring with the enemy. Who is truly destined to be empress: Bai Tan, as the Imperial Preceptor predicted, or Qin Yingning, who plots her way forward at every turn? Who will ultimately claim the throne?
