The world is in a golden age. For two centuries, humanity was essentially united under a single government, scarcity was all but eliminated, and human lifespans were extended than ever before, with many living for five centuries or more. However, cracks are beginning to appear in this utopia. Scientific advances have outpaced social values, leading to conflict as new generations, led by their nearly ageless elders, grapple with the prospect of permanent disenfranchisement.
In this age of transition, a group of gifted young arcanists are invited to attend a conclave hosted by the mysterious Knights of the Panacea, an ancient order dedicated to the pursuit of the true secret of immortality. However, several participants had ulterior motives, including Fusai's Utsushikome, a young prodigy of Thanatomancy whose grandfather had been a member.
