[Apocalypse + Zombie Male Lead + Romance + High-Tech Future + Evolved Monsters + Survivors Who Aren't Quite Right in the Head + No Doormat Heroine]
The story has an upbeat, optimistic tone, with a somewhat quirky vibe.
It mainly focuses on character interactions and daily life: fooling around, falling in love, and so on. It also has battles and science fiction elements. There are no golden fingers and no doormat-heroine moments.
The male lead is a zombie who eagerly studies human knowledge but always misunderstands it. He's weak at first and a bit of a goofball.
The female lead is a petite but powerful survivor. She's strong from the start, and she often has to put Xiao Sang in his place because of his goofy antics.
Synopsis:
Not long after the apocalypse, a special zombie named Xiao Sang continues to live happily while retaining his human consciousness.
Xiao Sang has no memories from his human life. Though he subconsciously thinks he's human, he's actually a species somewhere between human and zombie.
He understands neither humans nor zombies.
To become a real human, Xiao Sang begins conducting research.
One day, he meets a human girl named Tang Guo.
Using Tang Guo as his research subject, Xiao Sang starts learning more about humanity.
The two become research partners. After an accident, they set out on a journey, meet new companions, and slowly uncover the truth behind humanity's extinction.
