I’m quite busy with real life, so updates may be irregular, but I definitely won’t abandon the story. You can count on that.
The thing Mu Huaiming regrets most in this life is that he didn’t treat her well back then.
He lured her to his side because of the unusual fragrance she carried. Their status was worlds apart, and he looked down on her, treated her coldly, mocked and humiliated her, and abused her. But just when he had hurt her most, he realized he loved her to the depths of his soul.
She held another man’s hand and smiled as she told him, “This is my husband.”
His heart felt as though it were being gnawed apart by insects...

The world is full of injustice. Jing Yao is an ordinary woman who only wants to keep a low profile and live in peace. Lured to the Mu family because of the unusual fragrance she carried, she endured injustice after injustice in silence.
But her abusers only grew more brazen.
If the world is unjust, then I’ll brave every thorn to seek justice.
Though a million stand against me, I will go.

The first volume is set in Huaguo; the second in Nanyue.
The second volume has more political intrigue, and the heroine is the central protagonist.
You may find the political machinations hard to follow.
Or you may find them childish.
The heroine’s growth, a slow-burn romance, a moonlight-white female rival, a groveling pursuit of the wife, resurrection from the dead, amnesia, the second male lead taking the male lead’s place, and melodramatic Mary Sue tropes.
There are also some high-martial-arts, low-fantasy elements (???)
The pace is a bit slow, but after watching it, I thought it was really interesting. The world view gradually becomes larger, and the main plot line, career line, family line, friendship line, and emotional line are all taken into account. Many of the female characters feel very unique, and it's amazing that the female protagonist can play the male protagonist like this. Overall, it's suitable to sit down and savor it carefully.
This book is more in line with my taste. The heroine slowly grows up and has her own thoughts and her mind is always clear. She is tough and independent, but also has her own fragile side. There is no special charm given to the male characters. The female characters in it are all unique and have their own growth lines. I really want to see a plot where female characters help each other, and I'm curious about how the author will write about the heroine becoming a monarch.
