Before her wedding, Jiang Wan already knows the Qiao family is a pit of fire: her mother-in-law is a shrewish, unreasonable countrywoman, and her husband is a sickly man said to have consumption and be near death.
She's being married into the family to bring him good fortune.
Jiang Wan braces herself for widowhood, but after marrying into the family, she discovers that her mother-in-law isn't quite like the rumors. She doesn't seem particularly shrewish. Instead, she spends all day muttering to herself and even pulls Jiang Wan into worshipping some Transmigration Deity.
Who knew this Transmigration Deity would actually answer their prayers? Offer up some food and embroidery, and the deity will bestow wonderful things upon them. As they keep worshipping, life at home starts getting better: they have plenty to eat and drink, move from the village to the city, and her supposedly dying husband recovers and is even able to sit the imperial examinations...
P.S. Two female leads. Mother-in-law Zhang is a transmigrator with a built-in Life System; daughter-in-law Jiang Wan is a native of this world. The two join forces to build a fortune and prosper.
It's very interesting to watch, the characters are three-dimensional and interesting, the plot is warm and real, and very interesting. I don't know if Xiao Guifei is a good person. I look forward to the follow-up plot.
