The Mermaid's Captor

Song Chi would never forget that day.

It was his first time entering Zone A of the experimental facility. Through the transparent walls of a massive tank, he stared in a daze at the beautiful mermaid gliding through the water, her deep-blue tail swaying with effortless grace. Her appearance was like that of the enchanting sea demons of myth, but her expression was colder and more aloof than ice and snow.

Lin Jinan would never forget that day, either.

Bored, she swam through the enormous tank, and happened to meet the eyes of the boy who had just arrived. She put on an air of noble indifference, but her heart had already begun pounding wildly for him.

Much later, Lin Jinan, having lost her memories, reunited with Song Chi. She loved him by instinct, while Song Chi clung tightly to her and said in despair, "You are not allowed to abandon me again."
