A Visit to My Parents' Home on the Second Day of the Lunar New Year

In the second year of our marriage, my husband promised that we would spend the New Year at my parents' home this year.

But on the very last day, he changed his mind.

My mother-in-law messaged me: "If you don't come back, I'll have my son bring home the woman he's seeing on the side."

My husband sent me a video of a cat being abused and wrote: "Does its crying sound like our daughter's?"

Thinking of our daughter, who was only five months old,

I softened and went back.

If you insist on pushing me, don't blame me for losing my mind.
