The plot of this book is so exciting! The author Yang Shuo brought me to that war-torn era and made me feel the tenacity and courage of the Eighth Route Army soldiers. Especially the description of the squad leader in the book, the stab wounds on his face impressed me deeply. This reminds me of a relative of mine who was also a soldier and experienced the baptism of war. I can understand their hardships and hardships in that environment, and I admire their fearless spirit even more. This book gave me a deeper understanding of that era and made me cherish my current peaceful life more.
