Captive Devourer

(Possessive, coercive love; the male lead is a deranged, ruthless villain who will stop at nothing, driven by obsessive madness. Neither lead is innocent, there are lots of twists and plenty of other deranged male characters, and the story is full of life-and-death struggles.)

(The male lead is no better than the two men next door, Lu and Shen. He is completely out of his mind and shows no humanity to anyone else. If you can't handle that, proceed with caution!)

One night, Xu Zimo was playing cards at a bar with four of his friends when a sudden crash sounded overhead. Something had fallen from above. Just as the dark shape was about to hit his wife, Lu Jinzhi kicked it away.

Along with a pitiful groan, Xu Zimo blinked and found a delicate young woman in his arms.

Her eyes were red-rimmed. Clutching her ribs, she huddled in his arms and gazed at him helplessly.

A group of fierce-looking demons came rushing down from the second floor, seemingly intent on dragging the girl back. With two broken ribs, the poor girl could only wrap her arms around Xu Zimo's neck, bury her face against his chest, and beg him for help.

A girl had fallen right into his arms. How could he let someone else take her away and bully her? His heart softened, and Xu Zimo immediately decided to see the matter through and help her all the way.

As he kept helping her, he lost his heart too, and she had him wrapped around her finger. When he wanted to take things further and make their relationship official, he discovered that she was already engaged, leaving him branded as the homewrecker everyone despised. Then came the shocking revelation: he was the only one who had ever been pitiful!

So be it. He cast aside his gentle facade and couldn't be bothered to keep pretending. So what if she was engaged? If he wanted something, there was nothing he couldn't do. And as for the woman who wanted nothing more than to leave, she would never escape his grasp.
