The Actress's Relentless Pursuit of Her Ex

The day Wei Zhen won Best Newcomer,

she said in her acceptance speech that no one but me could ever play her leading man.

From our campus days to her rise as a film queen, I acted opposite her for eight years.

Now, someone else has taken the leading role.

The newly popular young actor pulls her into his arms, their cheeks pressed close.

“Older sister, you’ve been acting opposite him for years. Aren’t you bored?”

“Give me the male lead in your next show.”

She smiles and kisses the newcomer. “It’s all yours.”

But when she sees me calmly accept a supporting role, there to play their foil,

she demands, “You’re a nine-time Best Actor! What are you doing?”

She doesn’t know I’m about to die.

It doesn’t matter what I do anymore.
