Research on the Educational Outlook of Ta Kung Pao in the Early Years of the Republic of China (19121922)

"Ta Kung Pao" was born on June 17, 1902 in Tianjin, a commercial port with relatively developed traditional industry and commerce. From the day it was founded, the newspaper was faced with the question of whether it could shoulder the responsibility of enlightening the people and saving the nation. The newspaper's business strategy was to adapt to this realistic theme, and it gradually developed into a major newspaper with a growing reputation in Tianjin and even North China at that time. Enlightenment to save the nation is the main theme of the newspaper's various reports and reviews, and education to save the nation is the main content of its reports. In the first ten years of the Republic of China, we experienced two major educational system reforms, which brought about profound changes in the education sector. As one of the mainstream media at the time, "Ta Kung Pao" had the unshirkable responsibility to fully publicize and comment on this change, providing relatively sufficient materials and perspectives for future generations to understand and study the educational changes during this period. This book combs the history of "Ta Kung Pao", summarizes its educational outlook, and points out the enlightening significance of this educational outlook on my country's current educational theory and practice.
