The 20th "This Mystery Novel is Amazing!" Award-winning work! A breakthrough work of character reasoning that shocked the Japanese literary world! Three years ago, a man was murdered in a secret room. The suspect was quickly identified and the evidence was conclusive, but because the scene was a perfect secret room that no one could crack, the suspect was ultimately acquitted. Since then, in Japan, where innocence is guaranteed as long as the scene is a secret room, there has been a surge in secret room murders. A secret room murder occurred in the hotel "Snow White House" left by a famous mystery writer. At the same time, the only bridge leading to the hotel was destroyed, and twelve people were trapped in the hotel. In isolation, crimes appear one after another like dominoes being toppled. Secret rooms, secret rooms, secret rooms, the scene is full of secret rooms! The strange playing card numbers left next to the body are constantly updated. Who will be the next victim?

I really like this book. It can be regarded as the highest praise in my mind. The biggest advantage of this book is that there is no water filling or redundancy. I have read many mystery novels. The biggest shortcoming of most of them is that they are long-winded, with a bunch of dialogues or background environment descriptions that have nothing to do with the case or conspiracy. It's hard to read but this book doesn't. It even lists all the characters from the beginning. The whole book is high-energy and describes tricks throughout. This book contains five tricks in 127,000 words. If it were replaced by other water-filled mystery novels, one trick could be expanded to 127,000 words.
I finished reading it at 23:07 on August 10, 2026. It is the first of three books by the author. It is a really good mystery novel! The Five Cases of Snow White Pavilion plus an old case of Mimura Qili, there are six secret room cases in one novel, and they are all with different techniques. I really enjoyed reading it. The whole story is not long, the rhythm is very tight, and there is no delay. I can finish it quickly and see the answer. I still like the format of Blizzard Villa. The ending is also open at the end, which is very consistent with the theory of mineral veins. It represents the endless reasoning of secret room conspiracy, which is something the author firmly believes in. Every case seems impossible, but the final solution is well-founded and has no mistakes or loopholes. It's really beautiful!
The detective is not secretive at all. He will announce the mystery of the secret room immediately after solving it, which is really rare.
However, the first few secret rooms are quite interesting, but the last super secret room is a bit simple. I thought about it.
It's really amazing 👍 He is really a high-quality flag-bearer who will never fail! The whole book is full of puzzles and enjoyable to read. It is a very excellent work! If this is a pavilion series like this, please ask this author to write more!
The idea is fresh, and it is also a very standard and rigorous secret room. It is just a little delayed in the explanation... But overall it is still good and worth recommending [Like]
To be honest, this book is better than Carr's, and I understand why readers have mixed reviews about this book. The creation of secret room techniques has always been a very difficult task, and the story at the end of this game may also give some inspiration to the creators. Good reviews.
It has a very anime or Japanese drama feel to it.
There are a lot of secret rooms, and there are one or two explanations that I don't quite accept. However, such a short book has so many different secret rooms and techniques, and there is no operation such as hiding clues. If one or two are not good enough, it is not good.
From the perspective of reasoning alone, I would give it four stars, but combined with the book's thoughts on future mystery novels and the classification of secret room conspiracies, I think it deserves a five-star rating.
There is not too much background introduction, the storyline is very straightforward, and the setting is very interesting. There is almost no water injection, so it doesn't look tiring, and the conclusion of the reasoning is also a very comfortable feeling, a hearty Blizzard Villa.
It's really exciting, one secret room case after another. The fifth ultimate secret room refers to the title of the Golden Age book, but in my opinion it still does not break out of the 15 secret room modes. The principles and complexity are not as interesting as the secret room conceived by the first mystery writer. The first bottle chamber is more suitable for the finale.
The quality of Japan's Newcomer Novel Award is really high. He is also a supernova writer of fictional reasoning. The 120,000-word novel introduces 5 secret rooms. I think the most interesting ones are the first and the last one. It can be said to be an extremely excellent fictional mystery novel.
I especially like the mystery writer in it, he has a very mysterious image and a super high IQ! The whole story is full of suspense, especially the strange playing card numbers left next to the body, which made me puzzled. It feels like I'm solving a case with the author, and I feel very involved!
The straight-forward Blizzard Mountain Villa and the serial secret rooms. Personally, I think the first few secret room techniques lack some reality, but the second half is still very enjoyable to read. Especially the last secret room and the secret room handout, as well as the reflections on future conspiracies and the ending are impressive. The overall book is in the style of a Japanese light novel, and the dialogue between the male and female protagonists is very brisk.

Five-star recommendation. A typical Japanese mystery novel. I like it very much.
Lots of secret rooms, lots of stuff
Not long-winded, just add the mystery to the mystery. Every case is so perfect.
A great newcomer's work, not procrastinating, has many techniques and takes into account the logic and rationality. It is very enjoyable.
Good looking, rave reviews
Great, a secret room feast
[Thinking] Every secret room is very exciting
The plot of the secret room is compact and beautiful.
Just watch it, pure reasoning
Hao Chi, no need to say more.
Beautiful, considered a masterpiece
There are four secret rooms right up there. I couldn't think of it anymore until I realized that they were just appetizers.
I really like the 15 types of secret rooms summarized in it. It's very helpful.
I feel like it still lacks some writing skills and failed to depict the atmosphere of horror and suspense.
A secret room with a lot of food and control, the plot is pretty good
A very good mystery novel, with a large and well-controlled mechanical secret room. There are a lot of foreshadowings in the middle, but they are all connected in the end. The logic is rigorous. Recommended!
It's an easy and enjoyable read. Although the setting of a blizzard chamber and serial killings is cliche, the character descriptions feel lifelike with just dialogue. I'm looking forward to the follow-up.
