A Journey to Love: Ling Yue

[System Space]

Ling Yue is a veteran employee of the World Management System, and has handled all kinds of problems.

She had planned to take a break after finishing her last world, cooking, drinking tea, and teasing the little System mascot.

She was getting ready to find some world with few missions, preferably one with none at all, and enjoy a peaceful retirement.

While drinking with a friend, she watched a TV drama. Then her friend coaxed Ling Yue into going in to save the lives of five people and keep them from dying so soon.

“Why don't you go yourself?”

“I'm afraid I won't be able to control myself and will take all of them for myself.”

“Wouldn't that be great? Go on, then.”

“No way. This world has no romance missions and no points. I'm short on points, too. Besides, there's only one mission in this world: save the main characters. How's that? I found you a pretty good one.”

“Not good. I don't want to go. All that scheming is no fun. I just want to live in the countryside.”

“It'll only take a few months. You just need to get them safely back to Wu. This is a new world, so we can only add one mission.”

“There are two more little missions, too.”

“One is to collect merit, and the other is to put wandering spirits to rest and dispel their resentment. Those are fixed.”

“Fine. Don't try to be clever, or you'll know what happens when I get back.”
