After five years of marriage, Su Muan had been living in a sexless relationship. As it turned out, her husband and younger sister had been having an affair all along. They had even switched their illegitimate child with her son, while her daughter was locked in a basement and tortured.
Desperate for a divorce, she took her daughter and got close to Fu Yanchen, the most powerful man in the city.
Fu Minghao: “Dad, I want Auntie Su to be my mom.”
Fu Yanchen: “No way. Su Muan isn't good enough. Get that idea out of your head!”
Not long after, Fu Yanchen showed up at Su Muan's door with Fu Minghao in tow. “I found you a mom. Hurry up and say hello!”
Su Muan smiled. “You can keep the boy.”
