From 1863, Verne began to publish science fiction adventure novels, and became famous with the book titled "Strange Wanderings in the Known and Unknown World". During his lifetime, Verne created a total of 66 short stories and a few screenplays. His major works include "Captain Grant's Children", "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea", "The Mysterious Island", "Five Weeks in a Balloon", "Journey to the Center of the Earth", "Around the World in Eighty Days", etc. He is known as the "Father of Modern Science Fiction".
