After the Chongzhen Emperor Became a Miser

When Pan Dong, the penny-pinching “PR Emperor,” transmigrates to the fifteenth year of the Chongzhen reign and becomes the Chongzhen Emperor, he is left with only three years to live. No, to be precise, he has only two years left. Everyone believes the dynasty is on the brink of collapse and beyond saving, but the Chongzhen Emperor takes the simple view that the survival of the Ming Dynasty is still possible. It is just a complicated math problem.

As if guided by fate, Chongzhen points to his realm from the main hall of the Ming palace and declares with soaring confidence, “Everything in this world can be faked. Data is the one thing that cannot. If you can’t determine whether the data is accurate, it’s because you haven’t cited enough of it. For everything under the heavens, data is an indispensable measuring stick. It can measure anything, even the human heart.”
