Urban Legend: The Demon Slayer Becomes the Ghost King's Heir

Shanhai Star: A thousand years ago, someone broke the seal on the Ghost Realm, and the twelve spirit pearls that kept it in balance vanished without a trace. Since then, the boundary between the human world and the Ghost Realm has grown blurred.

A thousand years later, Yuan Zipuo, the second son of a family of demon slayers, accidentally stumbles into an ancient ruin while investigating a demon.

“What is this?” Yuan Zipuo bends down curiously. Strange, unreadable characters are carved into an ancient stone tablet. He gives it a gentle touch, and the seal breaks with a sound. A spirit pearl glowing with a faint blue light appears in his hand.

“What is this?” Yuan Zipuo asks, puzzled. He can feel a power awakening within him. Only later does he learn that it is the power of a yin-yang body, which allows him to enter the Ghost Realm while still alive.

Just then, a deep voice rings out behind him. “Are you the new heir?” Yuan Zipuo turns and sees a dignified Ghost King in a black robe, gazing at him with a piercing stare.

“Me? The heir?” Yuan Zipuo asks, confused.

“That's right,” the Ghost King says slowly. “A thousand years ago, the seal was broken and the spirit pearls scattered across the human world. Now that you have obtained this pearl, it means you are the heir chosen by fate.”

Yuan Zipuo: “Huh?”
