The characters in this book are all vivid, and Wang Li's growth process impressed me deeply. He grew from a border boy to a general and experienced many hardships. Moreover, the description of the war scenes in the book is very spectacular, making me feel like I am actually there. At the same time, Wang Li's love story is also very touching, and his love affair with Ying Wu is regrettable. Overall, this is a book well worth reading.
