Gazing Across Mountains and Seas

Let's return to the beginning of the story and tell it all over again.

Bai Mi grew up surrounded by love. She appears composed in joy and sorrow, yet has the law student's instinct for fairness and justice. Her good looks make her adept at handling romance. Though she married her childhood sweetheart, she discovered after the wedding that they belonged to different worlds.

Mu Junqing is always impeccably dressed. He has loved Bai Mi since childhood but has never once said so aloud. He quietly devoted himself to her, determined never to marry, until one day he seized the chance when she broke up with her ex. What seemed like a coincidence was actually carefully planned. He got his wish and married Bai Mi, but that was also the beginning of the end of their relationship.

Liao Chuting is a passionate, free-spirited athlete. His private life is an open book: if he likes someone, he pursues them, and once they're together, he makes no secret of it. His meeting with Bai Mi seemed brief, but neither of them knew it was only a pause in a long, enduring love. When they met again, they realized their relationship wasn't unfinished or left open-ended. It came down to two words: “No rush.”

(I don't want to write another warm-hearted, romantically clueless athlete guy. He's just too easy to feel sorry for.)

In the end, her eyes were full of stories, and she saw love and marriage as salvation, a path she had to cross mountains and rivers to follow in search of the truth.

The Mi River has no end, the sunny scene suits them both; in the courtyard, trees stand at ease. Whose heart will find its match?
