Li Huoyin's parents died under mysterious circumstances, leaving him only a strange coin. Little did he know it was a tool the Old Gods used to enslave humanity. As the Old Gods gradually awaken, fierce conflicts erupt among the humans they have enslaved. Seeking revenge for his parents, Li Huoyin becomes increasingly entangled in the struggle between the Old Gods. Some humans survive the conflict. They realize that the Old Ones are beginning to return, and that humanity cannot resist this mysterious force. They choose to inject themselves with a lethal genetic virus, achieving biological ascension to fight the Old Gods' servants. As for Li Huoyin, he has long since forgotten why the world became this way, or how he became a New God.
