The Vanished Traces

Adapted from the TV series of the same name.

Gu Yu, a brilliant forensic doctor, goes undercover at a psychiatric sanatorium on a covert investigation. But a murder case derails her plan, and she is nearly framed for the crime. In the process, she meets Bai Lu, a female police detective. Their personalities clash, and their lifestyles are worlds apart, yet this unlikely pair solves one baffling case after another. From their initial antagonism, they gradually learn to work together and form a deep friendship. While investigating a criminal case, Gu Yu and Bai Lu unexpectedly uncover a lead to Gu Yu's missing brother. His disappearance is intricately connected to the death of one of Bai Lu's comrades in the line of duty, and everything points to an overseas drug-making syndicate. Their fates are bound together by the people they care about, and they share one goal: to find the source of all this evil. They are certain that the traces will lead to the truth.
