The Adventures of Mechanical Ace

When a mechanical heart falls into a cage of wishes.

He is Long, a metallic life-form whose mission is to “cleanse.” On Earth, his bond with humanity taught him what it means to protect; across the universe, he hunts calamities and follows his own path.

But a mission that should have brought everything to an end sends him tumbling into the strangest trap of all: a spacetime built by the rules of “wishes.” Here, he is neither a warrior nor a companion, but an “enemy unit” defined by a child’s malice, a “character” who must fight Gaia, the giant of light.

But Long refuses to play the villain he has been assigned. Gripping the red sphere that can grant any wish, yet destroy everything, he confronts this world’s guardian and the lost child, and asks:

“When you made your wish, did you ever think about the price?”

“And how can I make a wish that will bring me back to my own universe and show me the way home?”

This is a conversation across spacetime, and the ultimate exploration of “existence,” “bonds,” and “free will” by a mechanical life-form who has become a “monster.”
