The book takes the love tragedy of Jia Baoyu and Lin Daiyu as the main line, and focuses on describing the process of the Rong and Ning mansions from prosperity to decline. "One Book to Understand the Classics: A Dream of Red Mansions (Collection)" is a realist masterpiece with a total of 120 chapters. The first half "notes the prosperity of Fengyue", and the second half turns to describe the decline situation of "the tree fell and the hozen scattered". Among them, the period between chapters 54 and 55 is the key turning point in the book, which kicks off the transition from prosperity to decline of the Rong and Ning mansions.
