On Toriyaki Island in the Seto Inland Sea, Akane, the current shrine maiden of Noshiki Shrine, will hold the "Toriman Ritual" to pray for a good harvest. The last time this ceremony was held was eighteen years ago, on Torishima Island right in front of us. At that time, the shrine maiden Zhu Ming disappeared in the worship hall located on a cliff with nowhere to escape. Not only that, except for one of the seven people who were on the island at the time, all the others were missing. The only survivor is the current miko Akane. Eighteen years later, as the "Birdman Ceremony" was held again, the shrine maiden Zhu Yin disappeared from the world, and other people participating in the ceremony disappeared one after another. Everything seemed like history repeating itself...

Something that is taboo for evil birds
Shinzo Mitsuda Writer
Rather than the whole story, the main reason I read this book was because of the words.
Japanese characters have their own unique style. From the perspective of absorbing and learning, five stars.
The plot of this book is so exciting! I especially like Akane in it. As a miko, she is full of mystery. I also hate the missing Zhu Ming. I feel like there are many secrets hidden in her. Moreover, the book's commentary is very interesting and helped me understand a lot about Japanese culture. All in all, this is a book well worth reading.
The motivation seems a bit confusing, but the puzzle itself is pretty good.
The addition of various folklore stories makes this series of mystery novels unique and enjoyable.
The mystery of the disappearance of the secret room that is closely combined with the motive. How much courage does it take to use this method?
It's quite shocking, and the method of committing the crime is quite beautiful. In addition to the narrative being as long-winded as ever, I really like this book.
