A piece of cloth bearing a dragon pattern sent Xie Jiu'an to a strange world. With the Evil-Subduing Ledger, he slays demons and monsters and earns supernatural abilities, though most of the spells are sinister arts. He joins the Daoist sect and becomes a disciple. His master does not reject him, saying, “Techniques can be righteous or wicked, and so can the heart. Countless people use righteous methods for evil deeds. What’s wrong with using wicked arts to do something honorable?” The qi of all the worlds surges forth; may our Dao flourish day by day.
