(I'm hopeless at writing blurbs. Anyway, this is just a sweet little story about two people reuniting after a long separation. Hope you like it!)
After a class reunion, Cheng Deng stopped Wei Lai just as she was turning to leave.
“Wait, I have something to tell you.”
Wei Lai stopped and quietly waited for him to continue.
“You finally came back!”
Cheng Deng said in a low voice, then pulled her into his arms and held her tight.
Wei Lai froze for a moment. When she came to her senses, she pushed at his chest. “Didn't you say you had something to tell me?”
“Don't move! Let me hold you.” Cheng Deng's voice trembled.
“We've already broken up, Cheng Deng,” Wei Lai said calmly, stating the obvious.
“But I never agreed to it,” Cheng Deng said, his eyes red.
“I never agreed to break up, Wei Lai.”
“Then shall I say it again now, and we can see this through properly?” Wei Lai asked with a smile.
Cheng Deng was so upset his heart, liver, and lungs all ached. “No! Don't say anything.” This girl really knew how to get under his skin!
“Then let go. I want to go home.”
“No!”
Wei Lai was speechless. Why was he acting like a child?
“You're so childish, Cheng Deng.”
The childish man carefully asked, “If I'm childish, can you forgive me?”
“No!”
Wei Lai gave him a taste of his own medicine.
