Emperor Qi

Di Qi is a True God in the Primordial Spirit Realm, bearing the divine rank of Primordial Venerable. Unfortunately, she is carefree by nature and dislikes constraints.

Thus, she has never followed the rules of the Divine Realm, always doing as she pleases.

One day, she breaks through the True God realm and ascends to Primordial Venerable.

Her close friends Hua Yun and Lan Ze fall to demonic corruption one after another.

Driven by the gods, she kills her friends with her own hands and is overcome with grief.

“Are the lives of the common people precious, while the lives of demons and gods are worthless?”

“So what if I hold a high position? Must becoming a god mean severing all ties and feelings? I have no interest in this position as ruler of all!”

“Yuan Si, I hate you! If there is another life, I would rather not become a god, and I never want to see you again.

Today, I will destroy my own divine meridians. Half of them will cling to the wound left by the Sword of Origins and suppress the Forgotten Abyss, sealing Gu Xuan away for eternity. This will keep the five realms at peace for ten million years.”

After Di Qi’s fall, immortal children would sometimes claim that they saw thousands of lanterns burning in the Wangtian River of the Primordial Spirit Realm, high in the Ninth Heaven.

It was said throughout the five realms that the Divine Venerable Yuan Si had wandered the world. Only Chi Yang knew that he had died on the very day Primordial Venerable Di Qi fell.

“Chi Yang, in his life as a god, Yuan Si never failed the common people. He only let Di Qi down. If you can, give her the black jade and let it stay by her side.”
