Synopsis

As the old saying goes: “Empires divide after long periods of unity, and unite after long periods of division.”

The Han dynasty has lost Heaven's favor. Eunuchs and relatives of the imperial family have taken turns controlling the court, plunging the land into war. The people have suffered for far too long!

The reclusive Zhang He and Guo Jia look upon a land where graves outnumber homes ten to one, white mourning banners hang from every household, bones lie exposed in the wilderness, and even the cries of animals can no longer be heard from one place to another. Their hearts ache for the people, and the sight fills them with sorrow.

Zhang He reins in his horse and gazes at the mountains and rivers.

“Heavens, earth, mountains, and rivers, I, Zhang He, swear here and now: if I cannot restore peace to this realm, I will never return to these mountains.”

He rides away at a gallop. As he watches the magpies fly south across the horizon, he knows good news is sure to come.

Three Kingdoms, Three Kingdoms, Three Kingdoms

Three Kingdoms novels without a System. There are barely any good books on Tomato these days. (I get annoyed as soon as I see a System.)

Any Books About Serving as a Strategist in the Three Kingdoms Era? No Summoning Historical Figures

Strategists should stick to being strategists. I don’t want them to be too good at fighting.

Three Kingdoms Stories About Strategists, Preferably Featuring Guo Jia

No womanizers. Harem stories are fine, but don't have the protagonist fall for every woman he meets. No fantasy elements. The author should know their history; Romance of the Three Kingdoms is a novel, so don't completely ignore historical realities. And no making things up off the cuff or denying the wisdom of the ancients.

Looking for a Beloved, Sickly Strategist (or Military Advisor), Preferably Set During the Three Kingdoms

Looking for books similar to Three Kingdoms: The Soldier Sage Begins by Advising Liu Bei to Give Up Xuzhou. The protagonist should be in poor health, and preferably there should be no romance.

Looking for Books Everyone Has Finished Reading

I'm a reader who enjoys all kinds of stories. I want to see what books everyone has finished. I haven't finished many books on Tomato, because I keep switching to a new one after reading just a little. O.o
