Many years later, Luo Yu stood before the clear waters of Fan Lake in Chu, slowly lapping at the shore, and remembered the evening he had transmigrated to this time and place.
With a flicker of thought, a golden orb appeared in his palm. Luo Yu smiled. “You brought me here back then. Today, I wish to take you beyond this place. Come with me, and together we’ll open up a new era for the human realm.”
With that, Luo Yu turned and waved. A gentle breeze stirred, lightly fluttering his blue robe.
Behind him, a host of peerlessly beautiful women and lofty immortals bowed in unison, while proud heroes, emperors, and ministers all clasped their hands in salute.
Suddenly, a woman of breathtaking beauty hurried forward, her jewels swaying. Her jade-white hands led two cherubic children along with her.
The woman wept bitterly. “How can you be so heartless, leaving us behind!”
Luo Yu chuckled. “There you go again! I’m not leaving forever. Who are you trying to fool with all this tearful farewell business?”
The woman instantly stopped her weeping, then furrowed her willow-leaf brows and scolded him. “Then why are you taking that little vixen with you, but not bringing the rest of us sisters along?”
Luo Yu’s smile froze at her words. He muttered a denial, insisting, “That’s not true,” but his words grew evasive.
With a cold laugh, the woman reached out and gave the embroidered sachet hanging from Luo Yu’s waist, patterned with a crane, two hard tugs.
A wisp of purple smoke appeared, then immediately dispersed, revealing a pretty young maid. Her face was flushed with embarrassment, and she lowered her head, not daring to speak.
Luo Yu was so embarrassed he didn’t know what to say, and could only keep rolling the golden orb in his palm.
The whole scene fell silent. You could have heard a pin drop.
Let's grow up with the protagonist, come on!!
