I think this book is very good! It tells the history of the Qing Dynasty in an easy-to-understand way and gave me a deeper understanding of that era. The author interprets Qing history from different angles, and the content is rich and interesting, especially the part about the game between monarch and ministers, which allowed me to see the complexity of power struggles and the multifaceted nature of human nature. Moreover, this set of books also answered some questions that I have always been curious about, such as how small tribes developed into large empires. Recommended to friends who are interested in Qing history!
