[Fantasy + fictional setting + swordsmanship + sect leader + no System + villain + war between immortals and demons + cultivation levels aren't instantly obvious]
Xiao Wuhen, a generation-defining sect leader, breaks through the heavens to save his mother and makes a bold declaration in the realms of Yunshu and Canglan: “All who are immortal or demonic beneath heaven and earth must revere the Dao Ancestor. Those who refuse will be killed!”
The demon immortal Yaoliu refuses to submit. He gathers a host of ancient demons, including Tianzhao, and personally leads tens of billions of ascended cultivators beyond the heavens, beating war drums and raising banners. Declaring himself Supreme, he seeks dominion over both realms.
When Xiao Wuhen hears this, he rests a hand on his sword and laughs. “Only beneath the Dao Ancestor may a Demon Venerable exist. I alone dare call myself the Outsider, and I would never presume to claim both titles! Such a motley rabble dares to call itself supreme?”
With that, his sword sweeps across the sky. One stroke cleaves heaven open and creates a new realm between the two, known as Yun Cang...
History calls it the “Chaos of the Three Realms.”
