Criminal law is an important part of the socialist legal system with Chinese characteristics. In August 2015, the 16th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 12th National People's Congress reviewed and approved the "Amendment to the Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China (Ninth)". In order to facilitate relevant state workers and the general public to learn and understand the content of this law, comrades from the Criminal Law Office of the Legal Affairs Committee of the National People's Congress Standing Committee who participated in the legislative work of the Criminal Law Amendment (9) revised and improved the book "Interpretation of the Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China" based on their work experience. In addition to interpreting and explaining the revised, added, and abolished provisions of the Criminal Law Amendment (9), the original book has also been revised as necessary based on social development and judicial practice in recent years.
