Raised in luxury from childhood, Mu Lan had become everything everyone wanted her to be. Her parents doted on her, she excelled at school, and as an adult she married a considerate husband who knew how to care for her. After they married, she had three sweet, clever children.
Then, in an instant, everything changed. Her husband died on a mission, and she was revealed to be a fake heiress.
The real heiress hated her and bluntly vowed that she and her three children would die miserably.
With the fake heiress targeting her children in every way, Mu Lan had no choice but to pack up and take her three little ones to her husband’s family in the countryside.
But there, they had a younger brother-in-law who had become twisted after being tormented by illness, and the four of them lived in constant fear.
Mu Lan was on the verge of dying from depression.
In a daze, she dreamed of her husband and suddenly found the strength to carry on.
Then she discovered that there was far too much village gossip to keep up with.
A country boy makes it big as a brilliant makeup artist?
A woman sleeps with half the men in the village?
The village beauty is picky about her suitors, then ends up marrying an old man?
The younger brother-in-law’s son has another identity?
What? Her biological parents weren’t human traffickers?
Follow her as she builds a good life in the countryside, step by step, and leads her three little ones toward a happy future.
<No pocket dimension, no System, no rebirth, no transmigration, no golden finger> (The main plot isn’t about the conflict between the real and fake heiresses. It’s about the everyday life of the fake heiress and her three children in the countryside. If you’re here for the real-versus-fake heiress drama, skip this one.) (This is set in the modern countryside, not among wealthy families, and it isn’t a romance. Those tags were added by Tomato, so don’t be misled. I’ve asked for them to be changed, but they haven’t been. I don’t know what I wrote that suggested wealthy families or romance!)
They are all small and warm scenes, which make people feel good when they watch them, but many people may not like them because the plot is not particularly exciting, but I love watching them.
It's very well written! The countryside is warm and daily, which makes you feel comfortable just looking at it. It's just not that cool and no one commented on it
