Soul Swap: The Sharp-Tongued Chancellor Only Wants to Marry into the Family with a Baby Bump

[Soul Swap + 1v1 + Power Couple + Bickering Rivals + Sweet Romance + Court Intrigue + Household Battles

Highly Skilled, Illiterate General vs. Sharp, Scheming, Sharp-Tongued Chancellor]

Xi Zhinian and Wei Yingzhao never get along at court. Usually, Xi Zhinian offers an opinion, Wei Yingzhao rebuts it, Xi Zhinian makes another point, and Wei Yingzhao argues back. Then Xi Zhinian simply throws a punch.

After an accident causes them to swap souls, their lives descend into chaos.

At the General’s Mansion: “Huh? Since when can the general read?”

At the Chancellor’s Residence: “Huh? Why has His Excellency become so generous?”

After news spreads throughout the capital that Wei Yingzhao is lovesick and drowning his sorrows in wine, he grits his teeth and demands, “Xi Zhinian, care to explain?”

Xi Zhinian looks innocent. “How was I supposed to know you’d get drunk after one cup? What a lightweight!”

So the two temporarily sign a friendly mutual-assistance agreement.

At the General’s Mansion, Wei Yingzhao takes on everyone and puts every scheming flirt in her place. The mansion, once on the verge of bankruptcy, regains its former glory.

Amid factional struggles, Xi Zhinian beats up corrupt ministers and princes, then gives a few street thugs a thrashing for good measure. The righteous spirit spreads throughout the capital.

One is a gentleman who uses words, not fists. The other would rather throw a punch than argue.

Later, rumors sweep through the capital: apparently the general has fallen for the chancellor over time and is now pursuing her relentlessly, even planning to ask the emperor to approve their marriage.

When Xi Zhinian hears this, she grabs Wei Yingzhao by the collar. “Where did that rumor come from? Go clear things up, now!”

Wei Yingzhao: “Ahem. To clarify, it’s true that I fell for her over time, and it’s true I’m asking the emperor to approve our marriage. But I’m the one pursuing her.”
