This novel is seriously addictive!
Imagine you're a broke wage slave who can't even figure out how to pay next month's rent. Then, out of nowhere, a bizarre app called [Skynet] installs itself on your phone, and you can't delete it!
You tap it without thinking, and it binds itself to you! A cold System voice appears in your mind and immediately says:
“Newbie mission: Make your first hundred million in 30 days. Fail, and your account gets deleted!”
Me: “Huh???” I'm just a food delivery guy. What do you expect me to do, rob a bank?!
But guess what? This System is seriously weird! It tells me to go rummage through a junkyard?! And swears I can get rich doing it?
With the attitude of “if I'm going to die, I'll go down fighting,” I went. And then... I actually dug up treasures worth several million from the garbage!
Stocks? Crypto? Selling inside information? With the System's freakish computing power, money practically grows legs and runs into my pockets!
I thought I was about to reach the peak of life, become a CEO, and marry a rich, beautiful woman...
But I soon discovered that this System has a seriously twisted way of doing things! It doesn't just teach me how to make money. It keeps trying to tell me how to live, with its constant “warnings,” “optimal solutions,” and “efficiency above all.” When I try to chat up a pretty girl I pass on the street, it hits me with “electroshock therapy”?!
Even more ridiculously, how come I keep running into that girl called Su Ran wherever I go? The library, the docks, the art gallery... Every time, it's just a “coincidence”?
The way she looks at me is getting stranger and stranger, as if she can see right through me.
I'm seriously starting to suspect that this lousy System isn't really pushing me to make money and rule the world. It actually wants to use me as a lab rat in some kind of sick experiment!
