This book takes Song Dynasty cases as an entry point, and on the basis of exploring the meaning and origin of Song Dynasty cases, it studies the characteristics of the entire Song Dynasty legal system, and further studies the historical evolution of the Chinese legal system. The first chapter discusses the concept of examples at three levels: examples at the conceptual level; examples at the legal system level; and examples at the legal form level. The second chapter studies the formal examples of Song Dynasty. It is proposed that the process by which the origins of Song Dynasty cases were fixed into cases was a screening process of "first come first and then finalize". The third chapter studies the application of Song Dynasty cases. It summarizes the four procedural steps of Song Ren's use cases and summarizes Song Ren's criteria for selecting use cases. Finally, it was proposed that the Song Dynasty cases played a normative role in practice through authorization and reference, making the entire legal system more flexible and effective. The fourth chapter discusses the role and status of Song Dynasty cases in the Chinese legal system. It is proposed that Song Dynasty regulations connected the legal system and imperial power in the Song Dynasty, and also provided a platform for communication and interaction between the emperor and the bureaucracy. It also analyzes the relationship between orders and examples, and finally proposes that the Chinese legal system evolves in the mode of "following and creating and adhering", and examples are the manifestation of the creation and adhering mechanism.

This book is very interesting! I think the author's writing style is very rigorous and his writing style is very smooth. And this book reminds me of our current legal system.
