The blue-faced Dou Erdun, the "ancestor of double hooks," became a legendary hero for his bravery and martial arts. After the establishment of the Qing Dynasty, anti-Qing movements emerged in various places. Kangxi's suppression of anti-Qing forces made Dou Erdun a wanted criminal by the court. "Dou Erdun steals the royal horse" is also a true portrayal of history. In the 21st year of Kangxi's reign, Emperor Kangxi opened up horse farms and deprived farmers of their land, arousing public outrage. Dou Erdun led a group of righteous men to steal military horses and gave all the proceeds to farmers. This act of righteousness became the trigger for him to be wanted by the court. Dou Erden's fate took a dramatic turn in front of Emperor Kangxi. Sabusu, the general guarding the northeast, interceded for him and proposed that he be exiled to the northeastern border. Emperor Kangxi adopted this suggestion, and Dou Erdun was eventually spared the death penalty. Exiled to the Northeast, during the Yaksa War, he heroically killed the enemy and made great military exploits. However, the wheel of fate stopped spinning in the second Yaksa War. Doulton died on the battlefield, and the hero wrote a tragic ending.
