Detective Conan: Starting by Rejecting the 996 Grind

Q1: Officer Morikawa, why didn't you choose to join the Criminal Investigation Department of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department after graduating from the police academy?

Morikawa Hisao: I did consider joining the Criminal Investigation Department, but I changed my mind after a senior officer told me he had to respond to calls at least four times a week.

Q2: As the youngest Superintendent General in Japanese police history, do you regret joining the Organized Crime Control Department?

Morikawa Hisao: It was pretty good at first, but who knew the Black Organization, the booze factory, was lurking underneath it all? I thought not joining the Criminal Investigation Department would let me avoid the 996 work schedule. But look what happened!!

Sigh, what a heartbreaking job.
