The Nine Wastelands Lantern

As a wandering immortal who had cultivated for tens of thousands of years, Shu Wu still had a mortal heart. She fell in love at first sight with Chong Shi, the Heavenly Emperor's youngest son. But the god Chong Shi was one of the Three Realms' strangest eccentrics, and she had no idea he already had another girl in his heart. Later, Shu Wu and the girl he loved were both gravely injured in an accident. The girl eventually died, and in his fury, Chong Shi stripped Shu Wu of her immortal bones and imprisoned her in the Tipa Mirror. A hundred thousand years later, Shu Wu was finally released, because Chong Shi held her immortal bones hostage and demanded she find the Nine Wastelands Lamp, an ancient relic said to bring the dead back to life. Legend says the Nine Wastelands Lamp needs a ten-thousand-year-old paulownia heartwood wick and a sacrifice of paulownia bone to rekindle its divine light. Shu Wu's true form is a lone paulownia tree, so only her soul's complete destruction can bring the girl back to life.
