Kikyo’s Infinite Rebirth: Winning Over Naraku

Kikyo could never understand it. In her first life, she had already died after pouring all her spiritual power into the Shikon Jewel to attack Naraku and failing. Her soul had also found redemption, so why was she still trapped in an endless cycle of rebirth? Had the Shikon Jewel never been destroyed by Kagome after all? With every rebirth, she wins over one person, hoping to discover why she is trapped in the cycle and put an end to it. But after five cycles and dying the same way each time, her various guesses and questions lead her to realize that ending the cycle may have nothing to do with either Inuyasha or Kagome. In the end, there is only one person left: the one whose actions cause her death every time, and the only one to whom she is deeply connected. Reborn once more, she must win over the person she hates most: Naraku!
