Do people really vanish like a snuffed-out lamp when they die?

Lin Chen was once a true immortal from the Upper Realm, but misfortune cast him down into the mortal world. He had planned to capture ghosts, help them transcend, and restore his golden body. Diligently working in another world, Lin Chen patched up its broken state bit by bit. Little did he know that those repairs would also pave a path to the heavens.
