The Supernatural World, Volume Five: 1985

There are, by and large, three ways for the poor to get rich.

The first is begging. Knock on every door, bow to everyone you meet, and put aside your dignity and pride. A penny here and a dime there, and the little amounts add up until you have a bit of a fortune.

The second is swindling. Set up schemes, play the part of a god, sell miracle cures. As long as you have a silver tongue and a sharp eye, you can make yourself a rich man.

The third is robbery. The money comes fast, but the risks are high. They say small-time thieves make rich families, while great bandits enrich nations. Kings, nobles, generals, and ministers mostly made their fortunes this way. For instance, in his previous life, Jiang Tianci was still an honest man when one wrong step got him shot.

So this time around, he doesn't much want to take that road.

But the world he is reborn into is a mishmash of the supernatural and the uncanny! Monsters roam everywhere, and gods and buddhas are all around!

In 1990, at a turning point in his fate, impoverished and lowly Jiang Tianci doesn't hesitate to bow his head to fate once more...

Note: This is one of my "supernatural and uncanny" series. The main setting brings together the supernatural and uncanny of Hong Kong cinema, with elements from various films. The protagonist is nearly invincible.
