The Knot Begins to Unravel

[Reunion after years apart + high school romance + contemporary romance]

“How long have you been here?” Song Qingxu looked straight at Cheng Yan without the slightest hesitation, his eyes seemingly filled with a sorrowful river.

“Huh?”

“How long have you been in Huainan?” he asked again, patiently, his voice as gentle as could be.

Cheng Yan pressed her dry lips together and instinctively turned her head toward the menu on the wall.

Those eyes made her heart ache.

“Not long. A month or two, I guess.”

“Why did you study medicine?” Song Qingxu’s voice was hoarse.

“No particular reason.” Cheng Yan calmly looked away and lowered her gaze to the edge of the table. Her heart clenched violently.

After a long silence, she finally spoke.

“Song Qingxu, have you been well all these years?”

He said, as long as you’re well, then I can be well too.

Happy ending. Mostly set on campus.
