Warning: No transmigration! No rebirth! No System! No golden finger!
The once-mighty Great Yu Dynasty seems to have entered its twilight years. The emperor’s power has been stripped away, leaving him confined to his tiny palace. The realm is now rife with undercurrents, and it won’t be long before warlords rise on every side! With no emperor to command loyalty and the land in ruins, it seems that loyalty and treachery no longer matter. Wise men enter the fray one after another, unaware of whether their bodies can withstand the blood-soaked grindstone of this troubled age. Even those lucky enough to survive will have little left but a pool of autumn water and a pillow dusted with frost. A poem written later says:
“Dawn and dusk stretch without end, half the land lies bleak.
Where can one cross with the imperial tally, as heroes rise on every side?
Across ten thousand miles, all contend for the throne; barren graves dot the hills.
The scholar’s cap falls into the trap, while the cunning are weighed by those who come after.
How can the will to pacify Yu be found, when all that remains is half a cup of sorrow?
Even if the bright moon comes into view, the autumn waters still run long.”
Because this is a book I wrote myself, I support it shamelessly! Come on for me!
